Comments:  Since the Olympics were underway, we thought it would be fun to share this book with the kids.  It tells the true story of twenty different athletes, including their favorite foods, what they like to wear, what childhood games they liked to play, etc.  It is a fun book to share and many of the athletes were new to me.

Comments:  We shared this book with the kids for several reasons, first being that it is a Beehive Nominee for this year and we introduced the Beehive Books to the kids.  Secondly, Mrs. Serdar has generously brought in jars with milkweed & eggs, caterpillars or chrysalis's for many of our teachers so that the kids could watch them change into butterflies.  We also shared the book entitled: "An Extraordinary Life: the story of a Monarch Butterfly" by Laurence Pringle, which was a nominee in 2000.
