Title:        The Sandman
Author:     Ralph Fletcher
Topic:       How the Sandman came to be
Grade:      K - 3

Comments:  This story tells of a tiny man named Tor who grinds down a dragon's scale and finds that the dust from the scale makes you sleepy.  He proceeds to sprinkle the magic dust in children's eyes to help them fall asleep at night.  The kids love the colorful pictures in this book as well as the story.

Title:      My Incredible Brother Stanley
Author:   Fred Spencer
Topic:     Adventures in growing up with Stanley
Grade:    4th - 6th

Comments:  There are 6 brothers in this family, with Stanley being one of the youngest.  Stanley is a natural clown and a free spirit.  He loves to get the younger brothers together to play tricks on the older brothers.  This book is full of childhood adventures that actually took place.  The author would know this since Stanley is his real brother.
