Title:  The Beatles

Comments:  We read some parts out of this book to explain how they grew up, how the Beatles came together, and how they became so famous.  We then played 8 of their songs, the first 30 seconds, in chronological order, to show how they had changed over the years.  It was fun to see the kids eyes light up when they realized that they had heard the songs before and liked them.  Many of the students broke out in song when we played "Yellow Submarine".


Title:  Visitor for Bear

Grade:  K-3rd

Comments:  Mouse tries to visit bear, but the bear wants no visitors.  The mouse is persistent and shows up in different parts of bears house.  The bear finally gives up trying to get rid of the mouse and lets him stay.  The bear soon finds himself having a good time with the mouse.  We talked to the students about trying new things, that they didn't think that they would like at first.  But after trying, they realized that they enjoyed a lot of things that they didn't think that they would.
