Comments: read the story and discussed the first Thanksgiving.  That the Indians helped the Pilgrims grow crops and that they were friends.  They enjoyed the book

National Children's Book Week:  We had posters of eight illustrators and one book by the illustrator that matched the poster.  We had the students vote on the illustrator that they liked best.  We gave the teachers a book mark and some candy.
