Comments: One of our Halloween decorations was a large spider on a web. We decided to use this as a springboard to read about spiders. We showed the spider and from looking at it decided on features about spiders- eight legs and two body parts. We used all of the above books to read sections to cover many aspects pertaining to spiders. The students were very engaged and wanted to share information and experiences they had about/with spiders.

Comments:  This is a great book that teaches facts about different animals in a fun way.  The children loved guessing which animal the nose belonged to.  They always seem to enjoy stories and books about animals of any sort, and this kept them engaged and excited about the different animals.
