Comments:  What beautiful pictures and  facinating stories! We previewed the new "Eyewitness Books" and generated excitement for the non-fiction genre. We asked questions and said that the students had to check out the books for the answers! We also started sentences with "did you know that...." and the students genuinely loved this book.  Sixth grade is doing a unit on Egypt also. We stressed that these books tell a wonderful story with text AND fabulous pictures! How lucky the Media Center was to receive these wonderful books. Other titles were the "Crystal and Gems", "Volcano & Earthquake" and "Civil War". Just some of the many great books we have received. They were checked out by the end of the week. Many are on hold.
