We explained that even though the Dewey section of 600’s is sometimes called the technology section it actually contains many different books about a wide range of topics and then show examples of each. We remind them too that the 600 section contains books like these in the public libraries and the libraries at all the other schools as well.

We introduced our new series of country books “Welcome to the World” and also showed where country books are found in our library. Switzerland is a European country whose people speak multiple languages (Italian, French and German along with a unique dialect of German called Schwyzertutsch. The country is politically neutral so other countries keep money in banks there. The founder of the Red Cross came from Switzerland and that is the reason the symbol of the Red Cross is so similar to the flag of Switzerland. This country is known for delicious chocolate, cheese and beautiful mountains. The Matterhorn is Switzerland’s most famous mountain.
