Topic: A collection of seven ghost stories all taking place in the same haunted house.
Grades: 4-6
Comments: Upper grades seemed to enjoy the stories and it was fun to read something Halloween-related. The chapters are short and keep their interest.
Title: Frog in the Bog
Author: Karma Wilson
Topic: story of a frog in a bog swallowing a lot of insects
Grades: P, K, 1st
Comments: A lot of rhyming words for the students to hear and recognize. Also, text to text connection with I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly. In discussing the connection, many students made additional connections with other books.
