Comments: We oriented the kids and talked about library rules and prucedures the first week. On the second week we read THE SHELF ELF to the younger groups to reinforce everything prior to book checkouts.
Book: THE AKHENAETEN ADVENTURE from "The Children of the Lamp" series by P.B. Kerr
Topic: Genies, (Djinn) Adventure Grades: 4-6
The kids were really intrigued as I read a small part of the book. Two 12-yr-old twins discover that they are descended from a long line of Djinn (Genies), and they have the power to grant wishes.
